This is a fully vaccinated event. All guests must show proof of being fully vaccinated upon entering the venue. All attendees are required to be fully vaccinated (i.e., two weeks or more have passed since the attendee has received a single-dose vaccine or the second dose in a two-dose series) prior to entry.
Due to the ongoing fight against COVID-19 in Los Angeles County, guests at El Rey Theatre will be required to wear a face covering that covers both the nose and mouth at all times regardless of vaccination status except when actively eating or drinking. Gaiters, bandanas, and coverings with exhalation vents are prohibited: a face shield still requires a face covering. Guests unable to wear proper face coverings will not be admitted into the venue.
Please note that events will be presented in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of such event and which may change at any time as determined by federal, state or local government agencies or instrumentalities, artists or the promoter; such requirements may include, without limitation, changes to capacity, attendance procedures and entry requirements, such as proof of vaccination and/or a negative test, and other protective measures.
Rising pop star Dorian Electra (pronouns: they/them/theirs) makes music that defies gender norms. In the past year, their work has gained a queer cult following and a rapidly growing global fanbase, as well as critical praise from Pitchfork, Billboard, Paper Magazine, The Fader, Gay Times, The Guardian, and more. Each one of Electra’s high-concept singles ("Career Boy,” "Man To Man,” “Flamboyant,” “Daddy Like,” and most recently, “Adam & Steve”) has been accompanied by a hyper-stylized music video. Videos like “Flamboyant” have garnered more than one million views, and help build a bigger world around each song than the music alone.
Electra has collaborated and toured with pop visionary Charli XCX and Russian group Pussy Riot as well as played major pride festivals across the US. In 2019, Dorian Electra released their debut full-length album “Flamboyant”, an unapologetically over-the top work of experimental pop with a heavy-metal, baroque twist, supported by their first-ever sold out headlining tour.
